DOPE
MISSION

Empowering Lives through Something Dope:

Our mission is to cultivate a resilient and thriving urban community by providing accessible mental health support. We are committed to fostering positive mental well-being through counseling, peer support groups, therapy, and engaging community events. At Something Dope, we recognize the significance of dopamine – the 'Dope' in our name – as a symbol of joy, connection, and vitality. Through our efforts, we aim to inspire, support, and uplift individuals on their journey toward mental and emotional wellness in the vibrant tapestry of life.

Something Dope envisions a future where every individual in underserved communities experiences mental and emotional well-being as an essential part of their daily lives. We aspire to be a catalyst for positive change by offering inclusive and culturally relevant mental health services. Our vision is to create a network of empowered individuals who not only overcome challenges but also contribute to the resilience and vibrancy of the urban community. Through a combination of counseling, peer support groups, therapy, and dynamic community events, Something Dope strives to be a beacon of hope, breaking down barriers and stigma surrounding mental health.

1

Donations are Dope

1 in 5 people live with a mental health condition. Help us advance mental health and well-being through public education, advocacy, and direct service. Your contributions big or small to our 501c3 are deeply appreciated and make a significant impact.

2

Dope Groups

Support groups bring together people who are going through or have gone through similar experiences. Group therapy has its own unique benefit: community connection. In a world that can feel so isolating, many people find great comfort in being able to speak freely about their experiences and feelings.

3

Dope Events

Something Dope hosts monthly and yearly mental health awareness events, including Mental Illness Awareness Week, anti-stigma campaigns for social media, speaking engagements, educational classes, and much more.
